A blustery and wet afternoon lay ahead at REGC, with Eastbourne kicking off the first round of the ISGA Matchplay competition against Bedes. Aman Shah, Will Rennie and Ollie Bearcroft took to the course. Will Rennie played well, but the back 9 in worsening conditions lead to a 2 up loss, taking things to the last hole. Olly Bearcroft also played well, against strong opposition, who played immensely well and resulted in another 2 and 1 loss. Aman Shah was the last out on the course, enjoying the full brunt of the weather and despite some good golf, lost 7 and 6.

Eastbourne now go into the plate competition, to be picked up later in the academic year as golf now rests with the loss of light after a busy few weeks.
